The Hardin County Board of Education unanimously voted at its monthly meeting on Thursday, September 17, 2026, to name the new elementary school under construction on Trojan Way in Vine Grove Trojan Way Elementary School.

Trojan Way Elementary will replace the current North Park Elementary School.  North Park is a school for preschool and Kindergarten students who transition to Meadow View Elementary School, Radcliff Elementary School, Woodland Elementary School and Vine Grove Elementary School.  Upon Trojan Way’s completion, all five schools will house preschool through fifth-grade students. 

“We received input from stakeholders, community members and staff,” said Board of Education Chair Dawn Johnson. “Trojan Way Elementary School emerged as a clear choice. The name honors our location while emphasizing the core values of the 'Trojan Way'—to be productive, prepared, polite, and prompt.”

 The school’s colors will be the same blue and white and the school’s mascot will also be the same Trojan.

Trojan Way Elementary School will have a capacity of 800 students.  It will open in August, 2028.
