Altec Industries, Inc. has awarded a $50,000 grant to the Hardin County Schools Early Career and College Center (EC3) to support equipment needs in the Engineering Pathways Lab. The investment will help provide students with hands-on learning opportunities and access to industry-relevant technology as they prepare for future careers in engineering and advanced manufacturing.
The donation reflects Altec's commitment to developing the next generation of skilled professionals and strengthening educational opportunities in the communities where its associates live and work. Funding will be used to enhance laboratory equipment and learning resources that support EC3's engineering curriculum, allowing students to gain practical experience and exposure to real-world engineering concepts.

This gift will help our students learn more about engineering and technical fields on the most modern equipment in the new HCS Early College and Career Center expansion. This wonderful form of stewardship provided by the Styslinger Foundation and Altec Industries will leave an indelible mark on our community.”
The Early Career and College Center provides students with opportunities to earn industry-recognized credentials and college credit while exploring high-demand career pathways. The enhanced Engineering Pathways Lab will further prepare students for post-secondary education and careers in STEM-related fields.

The new space will host an expanded engineering pathway, residential maintenance, criminal justice, and a new advanced manufacturing program.
