Neal Gibbs, Bluegrass Middle School Assistant Principal, and Darryl Murray, College View Campus Assistant Principal, have been named Co-Principals at College View Campus, the Hardin County Schools facility for alternative student learning.
The Hardin County Board of Education approved a new co-principal model for CVC. Mr. Gibbs and Mr. Murray will cooperate to lead the various programs there. Those include College View’s alternative school, Hardin County High School and the Hardin County Virtual School.
Before he began his service at College View, Mr. Gibbs was an assistant principal at College View for three years. He was also a classroom teacher at North Middle School for eight years. He served 27 years in the United States Army and retired as a First Sergeant.
“I am honored and extremely excited to rejoin College View as one of its new principals,” Mr. Gibbs said. “I look forward to working alongside our dedicated staff and community partners to build meaningful relationships, create new opportunities, and continue the great work already taking place at College View. Together, we will inspire growth, celebrate success, and provide every student with the support and opportunities they need.”
Mr. Gibbs earned his master's degree in school administration from Western Kentucky University.

I am excited to work with our amazing faculty and staff to ensure our students achieve success and reach beyond their full potential.”
Mr. Murray’s tenure as College View Assistant Principal started in 2022. He worked at North Hardin High School as a special education teacher and behavior coach for nine years. Before that, he was a special education teacher for Jefferson County Public Schools. He also served as a special education teacher at Vine Grove Elementary School. Before beginning his teaching career, he spent 20 years working with at-risk students in every middle school in Jefferson County.
He has earned two master's degrees; one from Western Kentucky University and one from Campbellsville University. He earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Tennessee-Martin.
“Mr. Gibbs and Mr. Murray will lead the College View Campus with kindness, compassion and professionalism,” HCS Superintendent Teresa Morgan said. “They both are experienced educators who have mentored students and helped them overcome various obstacles. They each know how unique the environment is at College View and will form a dynamic leadership team. Hardin County High, Hardin County Virtual School and College View’s alternative school will continue to flourish under their leadership."
