HCS has stepped away from asking parents to share information updates on paper. Those updates are now acquired through the Infinite Campus® Parent Portal system. The window to update information electronically is currently open.
Parents will NOT have the ability to see schedules, grades, attendance, or other important information found in the Parent Portal until they have completed the Online Information Update.
Parents need to know the following information before starting the annual updating process:
To access the documents and properly submit information, parents must have an Infinite Campus® Parent Portal login username and password.
A parent must contact their child’s school to obtain an initial login number if they do not have one or it has been lost or forgotten. Infinite Campus is the system that public school districts in Kentucky use to house student information like grades, parent contact information, and other important data.
If a parent already has an Infinite Campus Parent Portal login, they will not need to acquire a new one.
Links to the Parent Portal are on the district’s webpage, www.hardin.kyschools.us. The link can be found in the green bar under the set of scrolling photos on the site or in the blue bar at the top of the page. It is also under the Students and Families section of the website. Users should then go to “Information for Parents” and then click “Parent Portal.”
Upon arrival at the Parent Portal site, parents should click “Campus Parent.”
Parents then need to enter their parent username and password.
Parents then begin the process of providing current information.
If a parent is registering a kindergarten student or a student who is new to the district, parents need to go to their child’s school to begin the process.
Only one parent is required to complete the online information update per family.
It is IMPORTANT TO NOTE that not all documents will be accessible online and some must be completed on paper. There are some documents that state/federal regulations require to be completed on paper. Some of those may be provided at the school’s open house or may be sent home with students during the first few days of school.
