Developed by Transfinder, the district’s transportation routing software provider, the app delivers precise scheduling information directly to smartphones. Through Stopfinder, families can view their child’s daily bus number, designated stop location and scheduled arrival times.

A key feature of the app is its customizable geo-fencing capability. Parents can establish "alert zones" and opt to receive push notifications the moment a bus enters those designated areas. This tracking information can also be easily shared with trusted caregivers or family members.

In addition to daily tracking, Stopfinder keeps families informed of schedule disruptions. The app sends instant notifications regarding driver substitutions, bus number changes or specific route delays communicated by the HCS transportation department.

The platform is fully secure, ensuring that access to student transportation data is restricted strictly to verified, authorized users.

“We are pleased to offer this service to our families,” said HCS Transportation Director Chris Corder. “This tool helps our student transportation team become even more efficient and responsive while providing parents with peace of mind.”

The Stopfinder app is available for free download on both the Apple App Store and Google Play.

Access is by invitation only. The district has sent registration invitations to the email address of each student’s primary contact listed in Infinite Campus, the HCS online parent portal.
