Student Nomination Information for #HCSDifferenceMaker Awards
A group of five individuals (comprised of HCS students, staff members or community members) will be presented an #HCSDifferenceMaker Award each month.
HCS middle school and high students have the opportunity to nominate an HCS student, staff member or community for an #HCSDifferenceMaker Award. The school district's Portrait of a Learner is made up five qualities (or competencies) that nominees should embody. Each of the five competencies (see below) will be represented by one of the five #HCSDifferenceMaker awards.
For example, someone will receive a Responsible Citizen #HCSDifferenceMaker Award each month; someone else will receive an Effective Collaborator #HCSDifferenceMaker Award ... etc, etc. etc.
We ask that our students know about the qualities each award represents (see below) and select which award they desire their nominee to receive.
