Hardin County Day Treatment

Hardin County Day Treatment (HCDT) is run by the Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ).  It is located within the Hardin County School System and the education is provided by HCS.  The facility provides treatment and education for students in 7th through 12th grades.  HCDT is on the same schedule as the Hardin County School System, except for additional days in the summer.

Students are transported from the three Hardin County High Schools. Local transportation is provided for students in the Elizabethtown Independent Schools.  Students are assigned by referrals from courts, CDW's and possibly school referrals.  Determination of enrollment is made by facility staff through assessments. The facility staff includes a superintendent (Kendall Williams), counselors, and youth workers.  The educational staff includes 4 teachers and a clerk.
