Safe Schools Training Information

Safe Schools Training is required of all Hardin County Schools employees (per KRS and HCS policy).  The assigned modules are pre-loaded in your required courses on PowerSchool Professional Learning based on your job assignment.  Some modules are completed annually and others are completed on a four-year cycle.  Examples of Safe Schools courses include Active Shooter, Blood Borne Pathogen Exposure, and Title IX Sexual Harassment.  Please note, Safe Schools Training are not allowable for PD credit unless your position requires additional trainings above the required courses as assigned by district office and/or your immediate supervisor.

To complete required online safe schools training, please log onto https://hardin.pl.powerschool.com/ia/empari/login/index.  On the main page you will find the Learner Experience Quick Start Guide to help you register for professional development sessions and locate your required Safe Schools training.

Your login for the website will be through Google.  You’ll use your Hardin County Schools email and your email password to gain access to the PowerSchool Professional Learning suite.  The same website is utilized for your employee records and evaluations.

Please contact Shelee Clark with any questions at 270-769-8876.
