The Hardin County School District makes a free appropriate public education available to each child with a disability, regardless of severity, whose age is three to 21 years and lives in the geographical region of Hardin County.

The district serves students with disabilities in all three high schools, five middle schools, 13 elementary schools, an alternative school and 7 different facilities.

The following groups also meet regularly for professional development:  

  • School Facilitators
  • Special Education Support Team
  • Speech Therapists
  • Assistive Technology
  • LBD/MSD/VI/HI Certified Teachers and Paraprofessionals
  • Teachers/Interpreters for students with DHH 
  • New teachers to Hardin County Schools Special Education
  • PT/OT
