Danielle Cassady, an assistant principal at West Hardin Middle School, is the new principal at James T. Alton Middle School.
“I’m very appreciative of this opportunity,” Cassady said. “I know that James T. Alton Middle has a proven track record for success both in and out of the classroom and I can’t wait to be a part of the Trojan family.”
Ms. Cassady has 24 years of middle school experience - the last 12 of those in Hardin County Schools. She has served as an assistant principal at WHMS since 2017. She has taught language arts at West Hardin, Bluegrass Middle School, Ohio County (Kentucky) and Daviess County (Kentucky). She is also a United States Army veteran and has sung professionally with the Kentucky Opera Chorus and other organizations.
“Mrs. Cassady has abundant experience and success in the classroom and as an administrator,” Hardin County Schools Superintendent Teresa Morgan said. “Her experiences outside of education have also served her in helping children and families succeed. She is a strong advocate for students and will work hard to continue to present an array of opportunities to students at James T. Alton Middle School.”
“I have grown very close to the people and community in Hardin County over the last twelve years,” Cassady added. “My philosophy is simple: It’s about kids! Everything I do for schools is filtered through that lens. I am committed to helping create a welcoming place for children to learn. High expectations, student safety and a positive learning environment equal student success.”
She earned her bachelor’s degree and a principal endorsement from Bellarmine University. She earned her master’s degree from Western Kentucky University.
