When the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) issued new guidance for the general public a couple of weeks ago, it did not issue new guidelines for schools. However, it has now done so.
Therefore, the Kentucky Department of Education and the Kentucky Department of Public Health have created guidance documents for school districts to use regarding isolation and quarantine protocols. They were shared earlier this week with Kentucky districts.
Hardin County Schools has outlined these protocols on the district’s website (CLICK HERE) and will follow them when students and staff members receive a positive COVID-19 test and/or identified as a direct contact of someone who has tested positive.
The biggest changes in the protocols involve the number of days that students have to quarantine.
The new information can be found under at the top of the page under “HCS 2021-22 COVID-19 Protocols.”
