Welcome to the 2020-21 school year!!
We know that it will look different than any other year in the history of education, but you can rest assured in knowing that your children will be loved, taken care of and will receive the high-quality education to which you and our community are accustomed.
This is the place where you will find the most up-to-date information. All that you see and read here is subject to change as we continue to work with the Healthy at School Guidelines provided by the Kentucky Department of Education and the Kentucky Department of Public Health.
This is a living document. It is subject to change. Please check it often for updates that may come to HCS from the Kentucky Department of Education, the Kentucky Department of Public Health or the Governor's Office.
Hardin County Schools will offer two instructional models this school year. HCS appreciates the patience of students, parents, staff and our community as we all grow accustomed to these new instructional models.

Students enrolled in traditional school will return to the classroom on a regular schedule with in-person teachers.
All students will attend class on a hybrid A/B schedule. More details are in the above link.
Students enrolled in the HCS Online Academy
will receive daily instruction and interaction
from a teacher on a set schedule virtually.
This option should not be confused with
NTI provided during the spring of 2020.
It is our hope that NTI will be used for short-term closures such as snow days or restrictions related to public health guidelines.
