 Morning Message

The teacher will open the Google Meet for a welcoming song, morning message, etc. for those students who would like to join at 8:15 AM

 Morning Message

The student will eat breakfast, get dressed (students must be fully clothed to participate in live meetings), get their materials/supplies ready and join the Google Meet. *You may join at 8:15 for a morning message and song.

 Morning Literacy Meeting 

(Google Meet)

The teacher will open the Google Meet for direct instruction of grade-level skills for phonemic awareness, phonics, sight words, fluency, comprehension, etc.

 Whole Group  Meeting 

The student will listen, participate in literacy lessons, answering questions when called on, share their thoughts, practice their literacy skills, etc.  

*recorded version of a literacy lesson will be available twice a week

Free Play  (Indoors or Outdoors)

 

Related Arts Choice Board

The student will participate in physical activity (will vary by family and not provided through OLA). A related arts choice board will be shared with PE, Music, and Art choices for students.

Live Small Group Literacy Meeting or Recorded Lesson (7-12 minutes) or Hands-on Skill Practice  (7-12 minutes)

The teacher will coordinate small group instruction with all students at least twice per week.

 Small-Group Meeting

The student will participate in individual or small group meetings scheduled with the teacher and/or instructional assistant. Assessments may also be completed one-on-one during this time.

Quiet Time/Nap/Quiet Reading

Even if your child is no longer napping during the day, it is important to spend some time resting and doing quiet, screen-free activities. You may choose to use this time for activities like drawing, reading books together, or puzzles
