Gifted and Talented and Primary Talent Pool (GT/PTP) services will continue for students attending the OLA. OLA instructors will be notified of students who have been identified as GT/PTP and who are to receive services, their area(s) of identification, and the contact information of the GT Resource Teacher at each student’s home school.
OLA instructors in grades 4-12 will complete GSSPs for students identified as Gifted and Talented, selecting a minimum of two service options that coordinate well with the student(s) and the use of an online platform for instruction. OLA instructors will also complete GT progress reports for students. GT Resource Teachers will support OLA instructors by providing resources to meet the needs of GT/PTP students.
Additionally, the identification of new GT/PTP students will continue for students attending the OLA. OLA instructors may refer students for identification or may be asked to complete paperwork or provide other forms of evidence for the identification process. OLA instructors may also be asked to attend virtual identification meetings. If you have any questions regarding this process, please contact HCS GT Coordinator Abigail Lentz.
