Important Message from Lincoln Trail District Health Department

Last Updated: 8/18/2020 3:53 PM

As we work together to ensure a smooth transition to this school year, please perform a DAILY health assessment for the following before allowing your child to attend school in person or to board the bus for transportation to school:

  • The temperature of 100.4 degrees or higher
  • New uncontrolled cough that causes difficulty breathing
  • New rash
  • GI symptoms (vomiting, diarrhea, etc.)

If any of these symptoms are present, please call your child’s school to make the staff aware that your child will not be attending school.

Also, if your child has been identified by the Lincoln Trail District Health Department as being a direct contact to a known COVID-19 case OR he/she received testing for COVID-19, KEEP YOUR CHILD AT HOME until the results are provided to you.  If the results are positive, please let your child’s school know immediately.

Please make sure your contact information is current at your child’s school, including emergency contacts and individuals who are authorized to pick up your child from school.  Should your child present with any of the symptoms listed above during a school day, you (or emergency contact) will be contacted by the school nurse or a school staff member.

We are eager to work together to make this a wonderful school year.  Please have multiple face masks for your child so that they can be washed DAILY and support your child by talking with them about the importance of wearing a mask daily, practicing social distancing (6 feet or more), and washing hands properly throughout the day.  You and your children are so important to us! We look forward to seeing you soon!
