This is my sixth year as the proud principal of Woodland Elementary School! I have been in the education field since 1992 when I began my career as a kindergarten teacher in Jefferson County. I have taught most grades at the elementary level and spent two years at the Kentucky Department of Education before moving to Meadow View Elementary as the Assistant Principal.
I am married to my high school sweetheart, Ken, who is a national account manager for ADP. My son, Jake is 22 years old and attends the University of Louisville and my daughter, Alyssa, is 20 years old and attends St. Louis University. Our family enjoys traveling, sports and cheering on the University of Louisville Cardinals!
We have so much to celebrate at Woodland:
Our Academic Team most recently placed second at the Governor's Cup with many individual accomplishments!
Our 5th grade boys basketball team made it to the championship game.
We are in our fourth year as a Leader in Me school.
We will host our third The Leader in Me Leadership Day in March.
We are the proud recipients of a class set of ukuleles donated to us by the International Hotel Group.
We are very grateful to be a CEP school in which we are able to provide all our students with breakfast and lunch daily free of charge.
As you can see, we have great things happening at Woodland Elementary!
