Windows Update causes problems with website
By Gina Clear

We have recently been made aware of an issue with our website.  The issue is caused by a Windows Update from Internet Explorer 7 to Internet Explorer 8.  The issue only affects those with Internet Explorer 8 currently installed.  No other browsers have been affected.  Until we can determine how to fix the glitch on our end, here is a quick fix that you can make to continue viewing our website normally.

  1. Open the North Hardin High School website
  2. You will likely notice that the Active Alerts bar has taken over your screen and many items are out of place.  To fix this go to Tools and then click Compatibility View
  3. When/if prompted click add
  4. If you are unable to view the latest headlines go to tools>internet options
  5. Click the Security Tab
  6. Click custom level
  7. Scroll to the ActiceX controls and plug-ins section
  8. Enable “Allow previously unused ActiveX controls to run without prompt”
  9. Enable “Allow scriptlets”
  10. Click OK
  11. Click Apply
  12. Click OK
  13. Refresh the page
  14. The North Hardin High School website should display normally

Once again, we are working to determine the cause for this glitch in Internet Explorer 8.  We believe that it is an error in our web coding and working to resolve the problem.

We apologize for any inconveniences and confusion this may have caused.
