Dear Lakewood Families,

The accelerated reader committee met and it was decided that as a school we would work toward increasing comprehension, individual goal settings and increasing percentage correct. So as a school we will be using the Goal Setting Chart that AR provides. We will be using the Star Reading test to identify how many points that each individual student should earn in a given 9 week period. This score, teacher input, and the chart provided by accelerated reader will help determine how many points that each individual student must obtain with an overall percentage of 85% or above each 9 weeks to participate in the AR Celebration. Prizes will be given to students once they reach 5%, 15%, 40%, 60%, 80%, and 100% of their individual goal.
